Dear
Quilter,
Thousands of Arizonans’
lives have been affected by the diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, a
progressive degenerative neurological disease for which there is no
cure. These lives are
lived in pieces of “on” and “off” time determined by medications and
treatments that help them control the symptoms but cannot stop the
progression of the
disease.
The Lives in Pieces
Quilt is a project celebrating the lives of Parkinson’s patients and
raising funds to help provide the medicines and treatments that
enable them to maintain quality of life while hoping for a
cure.
YOU can be part of this project supporting the Parkinson’s
community by donating your time and talent as a quilter. Quilters
are needed to construct the squares that will make this
permanent display quilt. To volunteer, ask your local quilt shop for
a volunteer card, complete it and send it in to the Patchworks
For Parkinson’s Project. Or volunteer online at the Patchworks
For Parkinson’s website
