What Is The Patchworks For Parkinson's Project?

The Project is an effort to bring the talents and skills of quilters everywhere together to create quilts that will increase awareness and raise funds for the Parkinson's community. By raising awareness we hope others will come to understand what life with PD is like and the desperate need for the cure. By raising funds we hope to provide assistance for those PWPs who lack the means to pay for treatments that will improve their quality of life while coping with PD's effects.

What Can I do to Help?

First, look through the website to find out what is currently happening. This is a work in progress, as the project grows there will be different phases and needs. Your special skills and talent may be needed at different times so please check back regularly to see what we are doing. Fill in the contact form to get further information or let us know how you can help.   Next, tell others about our project. The more we grow, the more we can do together. If you are part of a quilting group, create a quilt for us to add to our project. If you are a quilter, make a top. if you are a machine quilter volunteer to quilt tops. If you have a fabric shop, discount or donate the materials needed, and help us promote the project.    Finally, everyone can purchase a quilt or make a donation to the project. Every day brings us closer to a cure, and every donation helps us take another step forward.                                                            Thank you !
